Jim Corbett Park lies in the Nainital District of Uttarakhand. Established as Hailey National Park, Jim Corbett has the prestige of being India’s oldest and most distinguished National Park. Project Tiger was first launched at Jim Corbett, following the idea to protect the most endangered species of India called Tigers. It comes under few tiger reserves in India that allow overnight stays in National Park. Jim Corbett is a haven for bird watching enthusiasts. Corbett is a home for more than 650 species of residents and migratory birds. Nature watch and wildlife gazing are done on an open Jeep or on elephant back.
